What a título declaration does and does not tell you
The título confirms
The construction was authorised on paper.
  • An urban-planning title existed for the works
  • The project was permitted by the procedure of its time
It cannot show
Whether the building is sound today.
  • A roof that leaks or a failed terrace membrane
  • Reinforcement corroding in a concrete frame
  • A load-bearing wall removed by a past owner
  • An extension built off the approved drawings
