RTIEBT mandates inspection after any new installation or major alteration, before grid reconnection, and every 6 years for rental properties under Portuguese law.

Book DGEG/ERSE-licensed entity
Electrical inspections must be performed by a DGEG/ERSE-licensed entity. InspectOS connects you with a licensed inspector available for your municipality.

Electrical safety inspection
Inspector checks distribution boards, earthing system, residual current devices (RCDs), circuit protection, and wiring condition. Tests insulation resistance and electrical continuity.

Compliance certificate issued
Certificate of Electrical Compliance issued within 2 days. Required by your energy supplier (e.g. EDP) to connect or reconnect power. Non-compliance fine up to €2,500.
